Slip ring design for test equipment can often prove to be more challenging than any other application. By its very nature it often has to outperform the equipment being tested. So for instance a slip ring module used for testing aircraft jet engines during flight, is subject to operating speeds of 16,000rpm, temperatures ranging from -40°C to +90°C and shock forces of up to 20g.
